This one was such a disappointment. It was my first LARGE ammo can, but the top had rusted open and there was water inside...ruining everything.

I was SO excited. It was so big!!

I didn't even find the log to sign.

I did find a sweet little bobblehead frog with rust stains (I scrubbed them off) and traded a yellow whistle.

I'm going to keep my eye on this one. If the cache owner ever fixes it, it'll be a neat one to bring newbies to. Swag and an easy find. It was right on the coordinates.

Jesse missed his bus this morning so Sister and I took him in. On the way home I noticed that she was asleep, so I used the opportunity to cache a little in Ward.

A week ago I stopped by here to get this one. I bushwacked all through the roughage behind this sign. I mean truly getting in the green. Shannon saw my car and thought I was in trouble. We both laughed at my misadventure...then I went home to stew about it.

Here's my log:
Hahaha I had made this one way too difficult. So I contacted the CO, he reminded me of the hint me and here I am with a smiley. *feeling foolish*

Took a chess piece...left a lips eraser. TFTC-SL.
---

The hint was: No yellow bellies! Stick to it. (Yellow and Stick were in bold letters)

Helluva good hint. It was right behind the sign under the leaves. I felt like a goober!

((I didn't create a placemarker for "Welcome to Ward" so I'm going to tag it onto this post. Sorry)

This was an easy park and grab. There was a broken down car by the sign that I first thought was another geocacher...then I thought it was a robber....then I saw it was empty and called myself a ninny.

This was a small cache. I took a tumbled stone and left a yellow/green hairclip. Something had rusted in the cache and everything was covered in rust yuck.

DNF -LCCC - Whitley Cemetery (aka Lost Cemetery)

The coordinates to the final are located at:  N34 55.ABE W091 CD.FGH

We found the clue, but the cache eluded us.

As a Midwesterner, my knowledge of the Civil War is based solely on books and the History channel. It was very sobering to get my first taste of the Civil War today.

All of the graves are unknown soliders

This is only one side. The other side is larger. I'd say around 200-250 graves.

The cache was in the heart of a crepe myrtle

I traded a clip for a penguin keychain. Jesse's trying to get me to give it to him.

This was a cute little cache. The Austin Police stopped me to see if I needed help/up to no good. After he got the whole coffee-fueled spiel about Geocaching, he said "gotcha" and left.

I traded my first crocheted flower today for a whistle. I think I may hold on to the whistle if I plan on going out into the real woods. LOL

It was nice to find it so easily. I had bad luck with two other finds today

haha stick maps!

Crocheted Flower Tokens

I was so embarrassed to trade a clip for a bauble...so I took matters into my own hook. Crochet hook that is. I'm going to go replace that clip with one of these tomorrow. I'm also going to try and find that Monk Cemetery cache again.

I need to put them in a baggie with a little "let me know where this goes..." note.

This was my first trade. I was scrambling  through the diaper bag for anything that would work. I traded a navy cord cincher for a yellow bauble. I'll start a treasure chest of tradeables.

interesting piece of wood....hmmm
EEEP  so fun!
The largest one I've found. I had no idea it had trade items in it.
I know this is a lame trade. But I'd like to take Jesse there so he can trade...and I'll add a decent token then.
