This was one of the coolest hides so far. Susan (Avenging Unicorns) suggested I go check this one out. I spent about 10 minutes kicking rocks and looking in chain link fence posts.

Could. Not. Find. It.

So I texted her for a hint and drove down the road to the BMX cache.

After I found the BMX one, a car pulls up to me...so I'm getting ready to pull out my "I'm on a scavenger hunt" spiel. No need....first thing the guy says is "Did you find it?"

So we introduced ourselves, complained about the ruined cache, and I ask him if he had any luck with the Illusion Cache. He laughs and says "Yeah, I'm the owner."  Ha! What luck!

His nudge is: It's something that blends in well, but has no business being there. His official nudge was "We're out in the country...why is this here?"

So I go back...and look...and look...and look some more. Ugh! (he's sitting in his car laughing.)

Haha I was so scared I was going to shock myself. I undid both sides...and as I was joining them back up, I noticed something.

Yes! That's it...the itty, bitty cache log. It is only a half inch wide.

This one was such a disappointment. It was my first LARGE ammo can, but the top had rusted open and there was water inside...ruining everything.

I was SO excited. It was so big!!

I didn't even find the log to sign.

I did find a sweet little bobblehead frog with rust stains (I scrubbed them off) and traded a yellow whistle.

I'm going to keep my eye on this one. If the cache owner ever fixes it, it'll be a neat one to bring newbies to. Swag and an easy find. It was right on the coordinates.

This was a lesson on using your brain and not your phone.

We had to take Baby Sister back to ACH for a Radiology scan of her double ureter and a visit with the Urologist. She's still having reflux back into her kidney, but it hasn't gotten worse. So we're going to wait on it till she's 2 and then discuss surgery. Ugh, not the news I wanted to hear.

Anyway, I decided to grab the cache while I was there. Plugged it in and started searching around. Took the top off of the fence, Took pictures of inside of fence post. Kicked bushes,Kicked leaves around. Nothing! Two security guards came by to ask me if I needed help...LOL and after I evangelized about geocaching, I decided to say "screw the satellite view...lets just check around."

Sure enough, it was under an electrical box on a parking lot street lamp. I read it was a tradeable box so I brought a whistle to trade. What it was is a Altoids mini tin. My whistle was too large. So no swag for Ang. :( It'll teach me to always carry my Geocaching pack in the car.)

We're getting close to 50. I have to keep an eye on my count so I can make the flashmob on the 13th be my 50th cache. Then Baby Carolyn is going to hide her first cache! So exciting.

Jesse missed his bus this morning so Sister and I took him in. On the way home I noticed that she was asleep, so I used the opportunity to cache a little in Ward.

I've been eyeballing this for a while now...and today I decided to get it. I had read how hard it was for some people because of all the nooks/crannies it could hide in. I honestly didn't expect to come home with a smiley.

Here's my log from the website:

Found it Found it
12/04/2014
Do you ever have really bad days when you can't find a thing? And then one day the sky opens up, the birdies start to sing, rainbows, kittens, dancing unicorns, and then you find the cache as soon as you get to the DZ.

That was me today. The second thing I touched was the cache. Thank goodness!! I've been in a slump lately.

Love, Ang

A week ago I stopped by here to get this one. I bushwacked all through the roughage behind this sign. I mean truly getting in the green. Shannon saw my car and thought I was in trouble. We both laughed at my misadventure...then I went home to stew about it.

Here's my log:
Hahaha I had made this one way too difficult. So I contacted the CO, he reminded me of the hint me and here I am with a smiley. *feeling foolish*

Took a chess piece...left a lips eraser. TFTC-SL.
---

The hint was: No yellow bellies! Stick to it. (Yellow and Stick were in bold letters)

Helluva good hint. It was right behind the sign under the leaves. I felt like a goober!

((I didn't create a placemarker for "Welcome to Ward" so I'm going to tag it onto this post. Sorry)

This was an easy park and grab. There was a broken down car by the sign that I first thought was another geocacher...then I thought it was a robber....then I saw it was empty and called myself a ninny.

This was a small cache. I took a tumbled stone and left a yellow/green hairclip. Something had rusted in the cache and everything was covered in rust yuck.

This site might have had five "diamonds" but three of them were missing. One sign was on the ground and the cache was lying out in the open. I signed it and put it back into one of the missing "End of road" diamond signs.

I actually worked this one out by myself. I'm not very good at them, but I'm drawn to them like a siren song. Floaten, the creator, is an evil genius! Haha

I love puzzle caches...you get the joy of getting the puzzle right THEN finding the cache! Since this was on the other side of town, I corralled the boys into going with me after Thanksgiving dinner at the OD's.

It was UNDER a redman. I almost gave up looking for it. I fell in the mud looking at a telephone pole.

These were all park and grabs. There is nothing interesting to talk about so I'm going to lump them together.

I got an email from Razz this weekend informing me that the Edumacation series was back on active status. So I woke up the teenager, bribed him with coffee, and we went out to grab a few. He's been bugging me about his unlimited 3 flamingos trip. (And what better way to start a vacation week??!?)

They had it at the Whole Hog Cafe in North Little Rock. What a great group of people. Made us feel instantly part of the group.

Baby Sister won a geocache to hide! We need to find a home for it.

I totally forgot to take pictures. I did snap one of Baby Sister and her new Geocache. It's a spice jar wrapped in camo duct tape with a log/baggie inside. :)

#0028 LCCC Bulterville I

Butlerville cemetery outgrew it's original spot, so they created a Butlerville II across the street. I got the first one, but not the second. Talk about frustrating!! My GPS kept ping ponging all over that cemetery! Then some loose (large) dogs came into the cemetery and I didn't think a signed log was worth a potential bite. Another one for the DNF file.

this was hidden, very well, in the cleft of a tree.
This is what happens when you plant a tree by  a headstone. In a while the tree will consume it!

As a Midwesterner, my knowledge of the Civil War is based solely on books and the History channel. It was very sobering to get my first taste of the Civil War today.

All of the graves are unknown soliders

This is only one side. The other side is larger. I'd say around 200-250 graves.

The cache was in the heart of a crepe myrtle

I traded a clip for a penguin keychain. Jesse's trying to get me to give it to him.

This is the farthest LCCC from my house so I've put it on the back burner.

"J" wanted to stop by the gaming store on JFK in Sherwood...."Hmmm, that's not too far" So bribed him with coffee and he babysat Baby Sister for me while I went out looking.

At first glance this cemetery isn't that interesting. But the farther back you walk into it, the more you find. I even found a really fluffy white feather. I'm part hippy, so I took it as a sign/hello.

Log was in good order and dry. Plenty of space left. :)
Thank you!

Last year I joined the Arkansas Women Can Run (Cabot) Clinic. My favorite run was from the High School Football Field, up Main street, to Honeysuckle, and past Evans Cemetery. I always wanted to stop, but never made the time.

I have to say, the cemetery caches are becoming my favorite! They are just magical in the autumn.

On this chilly day I nursed Baby Sister and left her to nap in the car (40 deg, so she didn't overheat. I did cover her with a blanket to keep her warm) and plugged this into my phone gps. It stared back at me with a dumb look on its face. (searching for signal) I casually walked around the cemetery (timing my steps with the frantic dog barks. *grin*) Nothing. No signal...no idea. I finally got cold and went back to check on Baby Sister.

After I warmed up and made sure she was still asleep...I Google mapped the coordinates. (I, personally, call this cheating...but I was angry at my gps app and wanted revenge) Read through the previous logs (Newbies are VERY thankful for those) Then turned off my phone and went searching. Walked right up to it and rolled my eyes at the fact I overlooked it on my first walk through.

Very old Stones...and a very new stone (June2014) in this cemetery.
Many weather worn blank stones
I walked by it twice before I realized what it was.
This is a BSB cache (Baby Soda Bottle) ?? I guess because it looks like a baby bottle nipple.
